Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi stressed reliance on a nation's own abilities to achieve self-sufficiency can serve as a proper role model for independent nations in confrontation against the hegemonic powers' unfair sanctions.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi stressed reliance on a nation's own abilities to achieve self-sufficiency can serve as a proper role model for independent nations in confrontation against the hegemonic powers' unfair sanctions.
    
Speaking in a meeting with Mongolian President Tsakhia Elbegdorj in Tehran, Rahimi expounded on Tehran's progress and achievements in various field of sciences and technologies and said that Iranians relied on their own abilities to resist against illegal sanctions imposed by the US and its allies, adding, we changed the sanctions into opportunity for accessing to self-sufficiency which is a role model for other independent nations.

The meeting was held after 16th heads-of-states summit of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) August 30-31 in Tehran.

Rahimi went on to say that, by and large, Iran is perfectly ready to boost its all-out relations with Mongolia and added that if NAM member states try to upgrade their interactions in various field, they would be able to resist hostile measures of bullying powers.

Rahimi pointed to historical and cultural commonalties amid Iran and Mongolia and said that current friendly political ties between us intensify the necessity of expanding trade and economic relations.

Mongolian President, for his part, said that Ulaanbaatar is planning to promote its indigenous culture to prevent enemies' cultural invasion and conspiracies.

Elbegdorj voiced the readiness of his country to upgrade the level of all-out relations with Iran.

In a separate meeting with Mongolian President in Tehran after the NAM summit on Saturday, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei underlined further expansion of the relations between Iran and Mongolia too.

Elbegdorj praised vast knowledge of Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution of Iran Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in the field of culture and history and pointed to eye-catching hosting of the 16th NAM summit in Iranian capital.
